Goal

We’re growing our sales team, and are looking for ambitious, driven, sales professionals to help drive forward revenue and develop their career as we develop the EMJ brand. The Sales team have clear progression pathways with tailored training and support for individuals as they grow within the company.

Days of Work: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00
Reports to: Head of Commercial
Salary: Depending on experience
Bonus / Comms: £25,000 minimum if achieving target, uncapped (10% on revenue from first sale)

Key Responsibilities

  • To learn about your industry, your relevant therapeutic area, client base and competitors
  • Understand our tried and tested sales process, with ongoing support from staff and training materials
  • Outbound calls to potential clients, focusing on driving revenue through our four key products
  • Advise clients on forthcoming product developments and special promotions
  • Objection handling
  • Review your own performance and meet KPIs
  • Once hitting target, opportunity to visit clients and represent the company at exhibitions, events and congresses (may include world travel to visit congresses and clients)

 

Person Specification

  • Degree or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
  • 2+ years telesales experience (Business to Business Sales)
  • Ideally operating in a publishing, healthcare or pharma industry (Desirable)
  • Target/KPI driven: Confident with picking up the phone and making sales calls to Director level clients
  • Quick-thinking, positive and persuasive
  • An articulate and expressive communicator
  • Desire to progress your career and be the top sales person in the group
  • Driven to improve personal development, which will impact professional development
  • Desire to be an expert within the industry and have a ‘Gold Medal Winning’ approach to the role

  • > You will build on the existing relationships with clients to meet the clients needs with regards to project development
  • > Actively increase the numbers of C level contacts in the target industry/therapeutic area by establishing relationships and ensuring regular contact to identify immediate, medium and long-range opportunities to meet the clients needs and drive revenue
  • > Regular reporting to the Senior Sales Director including weekly detailed update of pipeline. Prepare accurate and measurable strategies for each target
  • > Realise business plan targets

  • > Build strong relationships with new and existing customers and procure after-sales
