Elective Neck Dissection Improved Survival in Early Node-Negative Oral Cancer

A phase 3, randomised controlled trial showed that elective neck dissection improved overall survival by 12.5% and reduced risk of death by 36% when compared with a wait-and-watch approach for therapeutic neck dissection in early, node-negative, oral squamous cell carcinoma.
